Why Teams Switch from LionDesk
Outdated interface that slows you down
LionDesk's UI hasn't kept pace with modern CRM design. Navigating between contacts, deals, and tasks requires too many clicks. Base is built with a modern, responsive interface designed for speed.
Limited reporting and analytics
LionDesk offers basic contact stats but lacks the deal pipeline analytics teams need — close rates, stage velocity, team performance. Base includes performance insights and coaching tools built in.
Uncertain future after LoneWolf acquisition
LionDesk was acquired by LoneWolf Technologies, and the product roadmap has been unclear since. Feature updates have slowed, and long-term platform commitments are uncertain.
Frequent bugs and reliability issues
Users report sync issues, delayed notifications, and occasional data display errors. When your CRM is unreliable, you miss follow-ups and lose deals.

Column names may vary slightly depending on your LionDesk version. Any unrecognized columns can be mapped manually during import.
Tips for LionDesk Users
- Notes are only exported if you check the "Include contact notes" box during export.
- Contact Status has five possible values: New, Active, Prospecting, Closed/Inactive, and Future.
- The CSV is emailed, not downloaded directly from the browser.
- Birthday and custom date fields are not auto-mapped. Add them as custom fields after import if needed.
